| 09.06.10 | Survival of the Dead | George A. Romero | Romero can keep making them and I'll keep watching. While I didn't think it was his best, I thought SOTD was a solid, fun, zombie flick with some great humorous moments. |
| 09.06.10 | Machete | Robert Rodriguez | A total blast! |
| 09.05.10 | Don't Look Now | Nicolas Roeg | |
| 09.04.10 | Exterminators of the Year 3000 | Giuliano Carnimeo | Basically an Italian Road Warrior where people are hunting for water instead of gas. I wonder why they don't just go to the ocean. But beyond that, given it's a ripoff, it's not half bad. Some good action scenes with lots of slow motion car wrecks and leads named Alien and Trash and a young kid with a cyborg arm. More fun than I expected, but not perfect. |
| 09.04.10 | Rolling Thunder | John Flynn | One of the best revenge movies I've had the pleasure of seeing. Not only is it based in Texas, but William Devane and a young Tommy Lee Jones kick the crap out of everyone. Great stuff! |
| 09.04.10 | Times Square | Allan Moyle | Excellent girl empowerment flick based in the sleazy Times Square in NY of old. Great performances all around, especially from the 2 girls and Tim Curry. Highly enjoyable. |
| 09.04.10 | The Losers | Sylvain White | |
| 09.04.10 | Withnail and I | Bruce Robinson | |
| 09.04.10 | Road Games | Richard Franklin | Loved this movie. They wanted to make Rear Window on the road and they succeeded. Stacy Keach is fantastic and it has lots of suspenseful moments. It's only marred by the goofy ending that seems tacked on. Otherwise, its yet another fine Richard Franklin film! |
| 09.03.10 | Scott Pilgrim vs. The World | Edgar Wright | So good I had to see it twice in the theater! |
